The impact of the antiprogesterone RU486 [17 beta-hydroxy-11 beta-(4-dimethylaminophenyl) 17 alpha-(1-propynyl)estra- 4,9-dien-3-one] on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian-endometrial axis was examined in normal cycling women during the mid (MLP)- and late (LLP) luteal phases. During the MLP, 10 women received 3 mg/kg RU486 for 3 days.
