A research was conducted at Pistachio Research Institute in Rafsanjan, Iran, to evaluate the effects of P. vera L. 'Badami', P. vera L. 'Sarakhs' and P. mutica F and M. 'Beneh' rootstocks on mineral content of leaves and kernels of 'Owhadi', 'Kalleh-ghuchi' and 'Ahamd-aghaii' pistachio scion cultivars. Twenty year old trees of these combinations were used during study over 2003 and 2004. Leaves of cultivars grafted on 'Beneh' rootstock had higher K, P, Zn and lower Mg and Na content than other… Expand

The Evaluation of Three Commercial Pistachio Cultivars on UCB1-hybride Rootstock under Field Conditions
Pistachio is the most important nut that is produced in Iran. Little research has been done to examine the effect of UCB1-hybride rootstock plants as tissue culture for pistachios (2011 in TobaExpand
Effects of different organic materials and chemical fertilizers on nutrition of pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) in organic arboriculture.
This study was conducted under greenhouse conditions to investigate the effects of applied nutrients such as six organic materials (gyttja, alsil, humic acid, sea moss, straw and peat) and twoExpand
Nutrient uptake efficiency of five pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) varieties
Pistacia vera L., whose edible fruit is the pistachio, is an economically important crop. It is cultivated worldwide and over 50 different varieties have been described attending to morphological andExpand
Beneficial effect of mycorrhiza on nutritional uptake and oxidative balance in pistachio (Pistacia spp.) rootstocks submitted to drought and salinity stress
Abstract Environmentally-friendly management techniques such as arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) strategies are urgently required to improve plant nutrition and overcome abiotic stress. In thisExpand
Dynamics of growth and phytomass allocation in seedlings of Pistacia atlantica desf. versus Pistacia vera L. under salt stress
Salinity represents a major environmental constraint which can severely limit plant establishment in the arid and semi-arid areas in Tunisia. The present work was carried out to study the response ofExpand
A Comparison of Putrescine and Arginine Effects on Yield Components and Growth Parameters in Pistachio Trees
Results: According to the results, putrescine and its precursor arginine decreased the physiological disorders of pistachios and increased the crop yield. In addition, putrescine and arginineExpand
EFFECT OF ZN, CU AND FE FOLIAR APPLICATION ON FRUIT SET AND SOME QUALITY AND QUANTITY CHARACTERISTICS OF PISTACHIO TREES
Fruit dropping in pistachio orchards is one of the numerous problems which country’s orchard men face with it. Therefore, experiment was carried out based on factorial and randomized complete blockExpand
Responses of Growth and Chemical Composition of Pistachio Seedling to Phosphorus Fertilization Under Saline Conditions
A greenhouse study was conducted to evaluate effects of phosphorus (P) levels (0, 50 and 100 mg kg−1 soil) under saline (0, 1000 and 2000 mg sodium chloride (NaCl) kg−1 soil) conditions on growth andExpand
Treatment of Pistachio Trees with Zinc and Copper in Time of Swollen Bud in Two Consecutive Years
This study was done to investigate the effects of foliar sprays of zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) on fruit set, yield, yield components, vegetative growth, and leaf nutrient concentrations of pistachioExpand
