  • We report novel effects of randomness in [Ni( N , N '-bis(3-aminopropyl)propane-1,3-diamine(µ-NO 2 )]ClO 4 (NTENP), an S =1 bond-alternating linear antiferromagnet with a dimer-singlet ground state. 15 N NMR spectra develop a continuum with sharply peaked edges at low temperatures, indicating a field-induced inhomogeneous staggered magnetization.
