This paper presents the investigation on the effects of various thermal treatments and quenching media on the phase transformation behaviour of Cu-Al-Ni-Co shape memory alloys (SMAs). The transformation temperatures were determined using a differential scanning calorimeter. The variation of cooling rates had a consequential effect on the phase transformation characteristics of the Cu-Al-Ni-Co SMAs.
