Effects of N-demethylated carbachol on intraocular pressure and pupil in ocular hypertensive patients.

Abstract

The effects of N-demethylated carbachol on intraocular pressure and pupil size were studied in 18 ocular hypertensive patients. Topical administration of N-demethylated carbachol in 9%, 15% and 30% solutions has been demonstrated to bring about miosis which was found to be dose-dependent.
