Houttuynia cordata Thunb. (H.cordata), which is loc al plant in Northern Thailand, has a wide range of biological activities including anti-cancer and anti-inflammat ory activities. It consists of several components such as flavonoids, volatile oils and alkaloids. Major rep resentatives of flavonol subgroup of flavonoids fou nd in H.cordata are rutin, quercetin, quercitrin, isoquercitrin and hyperin. Despite the fact that flavonoids show va rious beneficial properties, there are few studies…

Flavonoid component determination and apoptotic induction evaluation of houttuynia cordata thunb extract on human acute leukemic cells

Results indicated that H.cordata ethanolic extract, which is composed of several flavonoids, possesses anti-leukemic activity through apoptotic induction in Jurkat leukemia cells.

ETHNO MEDICAL VALUE OF HOUTTUYNIA CORDATA THUNB METHANOL EXTRACT IN EXPERIMENTALLY INDUCED DIARRHOEA

Houttuynia cordata Thunb. (H. cordata) is used as a remedy for diarrhoea and dysentery in Asia, but has not been investigated for its antidiarrhoeal properties. Antidiarrhoeal activity of 80%

Rutin (Bioflavonoid) as Cell Signaling Pathway Modulator: Prospects in Treatment and Chemoprevention

This work attempted to project rutin-mediated oncogenic pathway regulation in various carcinomas, and incorporated advanced research that has uncovered the notable potential of r Rutin in the modulation of several key cellular functions via interaction with mRNAs.

The anticancer potential of the dietary polyphenol rutin: Current status, challenges, and perspectives

Rutin is a promising natural dietary compound with promising anticancer potential and can be widely used in functional foods, dietary supplements, and pharmaceuticals for the prevention and management of cancer.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF THE ETHANOLIC EXTR ACTS OF PHLOGACANTHUS THYRSIFLORUS, HOTTUYNIA CORDATA , CURCUMA CAESIA AND SYZYGIUM JUMBOS

The ethanolic extracts of Phlogacanthus thyrsiflorus and Hottuynia cordata (EEHC) showed significant anti - bacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Curcuma caesia (EECC) showed signifi cant anti- bacterial activity.

High-frequency plant regeneration from immature zygotic embryo cultures of Houttuynia cordata Thunb via somatic embryogenesis

This study reports high-frequency plant regeneration from immature zygotic embryo cultures of Houttuynia cordata Thunb via somatic embryogenesis. Numerous green globular structures were directly
