Effects of Hesperethusa Crenulata ’ s Bark Extract on Production of ProCollagen Type I and Inhibition of MMP-1 in Fibroblasts Irradiated UVB
@inproceedings{Amornnopparattanakul2012EffectsOH, title={Effects of Hesperethusa Crenulata ’ s Bark Extract on Production of ProCollagen Type I and Inhibition of MMP-1 in Fibroblasts Irradiated UVB}, author={Paveena Amornnopparattanakul and Nantaka Khorana and Jarupa Viyoch}, year={2012} }
Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation induces photoaging by upregulating the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) and decreasing collagen synthesis in human skin cells. This study evaluated the effects of Hesperethusa crenulata’s bark extract on cytotoxicity and phototoxicity in human skin cells, MMP-1 and type I pro-collagen levels in UVB-irradiated human skin fibroblasts by ELISA. Powdered H.crenulata extracted with dichloromethane. The toxicity showed in term of percentage of cell viability…
