The effect of external pH on two laboratory-cultured acid-intolerant species (Chlorella pyrenoidosa Chick and Scenedesmus quadricauda Turp. Bréb.) and one acid-tolerant species from a natural population (Euglena mutabilis Schmitz) was examined by measuring internal pH.
