  • Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) and butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) are synthetic phenolic compounds commonly used as antioxidant food preservatives. The main objective of the present study was to investigate the protective effect of BHT and BHA against carbon tetrachloride - (CCL ) hepatotoxicity in rats. 4 The experiment was performed on 42 mature rats distributed into 6 equal groups.
