INTRODUCTION 2,3-Butanedione monoxime (BDM) has been found to reversibly block cardiac contraction, without blocking electrical conduction. This study characterizes the dose-dependent effects of BDM on the conduction through the atrioventricular node (AVN) of rabbit heart.
