OBJECTIVE To determine if ignition interlock devices reduce driving while intoxicated (DWI) recidivism. SEARCH STRATEGIES Cochrane Collaboration search strategies were used. SELECTION CRITERIA Studies for selection examined the effectiveness of interlock programs in a defined population.
