We assume that the noncommutativity starts to be visible continuously from a scale ΛNC. According to this assumption, a two-loop effective action is derived for noncommutative ϕ4 and ϕ3 theories from a Wilsonian point of view. We show that these effective theories are free of UV/IR mixing phenomena. We also investigate the positivity constraint on coefficients of higher dimension operators present in the effective theory. This constraint makes the low energy theory to be UV completion of a full…

Effective Action for Noncommutative U(1) Gauge Theory with Higher Dimensional Terms

In this paper we apply the assumption of our recent work in noncommutative scalar models to the noncommutative U(1) gauge theories. This assumption is that the noncommutative effects start to be…

We investigate a modification in the action of inflaton due to noncommutativity leads to a nonstandard initial vacuum and oscillatory corrections in the initial power spectrum. We show that the…

Quantum field theories with compact noncommutative extra dimensions

We study field theories on spaces with additional compact non-commutative dimensions. As an example, we study 3 on 1,3 × 2θ using perturbation theory. The infrared divergences in the non-compact…
Renormalisation of ϕ4-Theory on Noncommutative ℝ4 in the Matrix Base

We prove that the real four-dimensional Euclidean noncommutative ϕ4-model is renormalisable to all orders in perturbation theory. Compared with the commutative case, the bare action of relevant and…

We extend earlier ideas about the appearance of noncommutative geometry in string theory with a nonzero B-field. We identify a limit in which the entire string dynamics is described by a minimally…

We study the perturbative dynamics of noncommutative field theories on R d , and find an intriguing mixing of the UV and the IR. High energies of virtual particles in loops produce non-analyticity at…

We analyze further the IR singularities that appear in noncommutative field theories on d. We argue that all IR singularities in nonplanar one loop diagrams may be interpreted as arising from the…

UV/IR mixing is one of the most important features of noncommutative field theories. As a consequence of this coupling of the UV and IR sectors, the configuration of fields at the zero momentum limit…
