In this paper, we proposed and implemented the effective automatic foreground motion detection algorithm that detect the foreground motion by analyzing the digital video data that captured by the network camera. We classified the background as moving background, fixed background and normal background based on the standard deviation of background and used it to detect the foreground motion. According to the result of experiment, our algorithm decreased the fault detection of the moving…

This work deals with automatic motion detection for with surveillance tracking that aims to provide high-lighting movable objects which is discriminated from moving backgrounds such as moving trees,
Foreground motion detection by difference-based spatial temporal entropy image
An entropy based method for human motion detection is described which makes no use of background model and is normalized to calculate entropy and the magnitude of entropy is used to denote the significance of motion.
Shot Boundary Detection Algorithm by Compensating Pixel Brightness and Object Movement
Two shot boundary detection methods are presented to address the disturbances caused by pixel brightness and object movement between frames by using segmentation, object movement, and pixel brightness.
Implementation of Video Surveillance System with Motion Detection based on Network Camera Facilities
The video analysis server with open source library OpenCV is developed and the daemon process for video input processing and real-time image analysis in the authors' video surveillance system is implemented.
Scene Change Detection Using Local Information
A Scene Change Detection method using the local decision tree and clustering to compare time similarity distributions among the difference values between detected scenes and their adjacent frames and group an unbroken sequence of frames with similarities in difference value into a cluster unit.
Learning Patterns of Activity Using Real-Time Tracking
This paper focuses on motion tracking and shows how one can use observed motion to learn patterns of activity in a site and create a hierarchical binary-tree classification of the representations within a sequence.
Cost effective IP camera for video surveillance
Key approaches for efficient usage of the DSP resources and main optimization methods for the encoding speed are presented in this paper.
OpenCV Based Real-Time Video Processing Using Android Smartphone
Two Android applications based on video processing method are introduced by using OpenCV library, one is using Android library with self-implemented algorithm called CamTest, and the efficiencies and power consumptions of the two applications are compared.
