Total 40 male basketball players, who are competing in the level of junior teams and playing basketball for at least 3 years and whose ages varied between 16 and 19, have participated in this research that is made to examine effects of weighted rope jumping training performed by repetition method on the heart rate, anaerobic power, agility and reaction time of basketball players. Basketball players were separated into two groups randomly being experimental (n=20) and control (n=20) groups…

Effects of Weighted Versus Standard Jump Rope Training on Physical Fitness in Adolescent Female Volleyball Players: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of 12-week standard versus weighted jump rope training on physical fitness tests including anaerobic power, speed, agility and flexibility in

Effect of 12 Week Neuromuscular Weighted Rope Jump Training on Lower Extremity Reaction Time

It is suggested that the WRT can be applied as an effective exercise program for enhancing visual and auditory reaction time performance in adolescent taekwondo athletes.

Short-term Plyometric and Jump Rope Training Effect on Body Profile and Athletic Performance in Adolescent Basketball Players

Background: Recent research has focused on the effects of different types of strength training on the performance and body profile of adolescent athletes. However, the effects of short-term

Jump Rope Training: Balance and Motor Coordination in Preadolescent Soccer Players.

It is demonstrated that JR practice within regular soccer training enhanced general motor coordination and balance in preadolescent soccer players, indicating that young soccer players should be encouraged to practice general physical activities together with sport-specific exercise during their training sessions.

“Ballistic Six” Upper-Extremity Plyometric Training for the Pediatric Volleyball Players

A 12-week Ballistic Six upper-extremity plyometric training program was found to be effective in achieving improvements in the reaction time in the throwing arm for both groups similarly.

Effects of Skill Level and Feet Width on Kinematic and Kinetic Variables during Jump Rope Single Under

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of skill level and width between feet on kinematic and kinetic variables during jump rope single under with both feet. Method: Fifteen

Jump rope training effects on health- and sport-related physical fitness in young participants: A systematic review with meta-analysis

In conclusion, JRT, when compared to active and passive controls, provides a range of small-moderate benefits that span health- and sport-related physical fitness outcomes.

Effects of Shoe Midsole Hardness on Lower Extremity Biomechanics during Jump Rope in Healthy Males

The results of this study indicate that for repetitive activities that entail multiple impacts, sports shoes with a low midsole hardness (e.g., 50 Shores C or 45 Shore C) may be appropriate.

Speed Rope Skipping - Performance and Coordination in a Four-Limb Task

Abstract This study investigated biomechanical characteristics of Speed Rope Skipping (RS) and estimated the contribution of the lower and upper limbs to overall performance. Lower (jumping), upper

Fitness Promotion in a Jump Rope-Based Homework Intervention for Middle School Students: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Physical activity (PA) homework offers a promising approach for students to be physically active after school. The current study aims to provide holistic insights into PA homework design and the

Part I Year-round conditioning for basketball: programme components laying the foundation - off-season workouts preparing to play - preseason workouts sharpening your game - in-season workouts

Anaerobic and aerobic responses of males and females to rope skipping.

It was verified that the VO2 requirement does not increase with skipping rate over a relatively wide range, but that extremely high rates do require more energy from both aerobic and anaerobic sources.

Multiple choice reaction time and movement time during physical exertion.

Five-choice RT was optimal at a HR of 115 bpm and worst at 175 bpm, thereby supporting the hypothesis of an inverted U relationship between activation and choice RT and improving linearly with increased levels of HR.

The effect of rope skipping rate on energy expenditure of males and females.

Sex differences were found in that females had significantly lower VO2 both in l and ml and ml .

Effect of Exercise and Heat-Load on Simple Reaction Time of University Students

The results suggest that in hot industries, increased temperature has a specific rather than general effect on cognitive processes, perception and attentiveness, leading to increased chances of human errors, fatal accidents and loss of productivity.
