Application of triacontanol (TRIA), a long chain aliphatic alcohol (C-30), to cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) leaves resulted in an increase in dry weight and an alteration in lipid composition. A significant increase in monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) and digalactosyldiacylglycerol (DGDG) was attained 24 h after TRIA treatment.
