The results of measurements of telluric currents flowing through pipelines laid in the cryolithozone in Yakutia are presented during geomagnetic storms and lightning discharges occurring in the 10 km zone around the pipeline. The currents reach tens of amperes. Construction of a lightning density distribution map. The effect of a direct current flowing in a 150 m long pipeline with a diameter of 110 mm laid in permafrost on the change in the pipe-to-ground potential is measured. Based on the… CONTINUE READING
