Inonotus Obliquus is a medicinal mushroom that is widely used in folk medicine in Russia, North Europe and China. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant and hypolipidemic capacities of Inonotus Obliquus polysaccharides(IOP). In vivo, the hyperlipidemic rats, induced by high-fat diet, were provided 100, 200, 500 mg/kg day of IOP for 8 weeks to evaluate their expected hypolipidemic activity. The results showed that Compared with MG, The administration of IOP did not show any…

Anti-diabetic effects of Inonotus obliquus polysaccharides-chromium (III) complex in type 2 diabetic mice and its sub-acute toxicity evaluation in normal mice.

Inonotus obliquus extract alleviates myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury by suppressing endoplasmic reticulum stress

Pretreatment with IOE pretreatment protects the heart against MI/R injury through attenuating oxidative damage and suppressing ER stress-induced apoptosis, which may be primarily due to SIRT1 activation.

Pan-genome Analyses of 3 Strains of Inonotus obliquus and Prediction of Polysaccharide and Terpenoid Genes

Pan-genome sequencing of I. obliquus has improved the understanding of biological characteristics related to the biosynthesis of polysaccharides and terpenoids at the molecular level, which will enable us to increase the production of poly Saccharide-related core gene families and seven accessory gene families by this mushroom.

Hypoglycemic effect of water-soluble polysaccharide from Auricularia auricula-judae Quel. on genetically diabetic KK-Ay mice.

It is shown that FA had a Hypoglycemic effect on KK-Ay mice, and the reduced food consumption was not a major factor which contributed to the hypoglycemic action of FA.

The uniqueness of chitosan among polysaccharides is underlined in terms of susceptibility to enzymatic depolymerization, cationicity, supply of cell-activating oligomers, and supply of N-acetylglucosamine for rebuilding of other biopolymers.

Oxidative stress and antioxidant status in mouse liver: effects of dietary lipid, vitamin E and iron.

Experimental evidence of the prooxidative effects of high dietary fish oil and iron is provided, and vitamin E protects not only lipid-soluble compounds, but also water- soluble constituents, against oxidative damage, to suggest that dietary lipid plays a key role in determining cellular susceptibility to oxidative stress.
