OBJECTIVE To assess the effect of home based telehealth interventions on the use of secondary healthcare and mortality. DESIGN Pragmatic, multisite, cluster randomised trial comparing telehealth with usual care, using data from routine administrative datasets. General practice was the unit of randomisation.
