This study was designed to investigate the effect of sperm exposure time on the fertilization rate and subsequent developmental capacity of bovine oocytes matured in vitro. Cumulus oocyte complexes (COCs) obtained from 2 to 6 mm follicles were matured for 24 h in TCM-199 supplemented with fetal bovine serum (FBS) and hormones (FSH, LH and estradiol 17-beta).
