Dispersed acini from rat pancreas, incubated in the presence of KH2(32)PO4 to steady state 32P incorporation into cellular proteins, were exposed to secretin. 32P incorporated into selected proteins, separated by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, reached a plateau by 150 min.
