Effect of Salinity on the Growth, Survival and Development of the Commercially Important Portunid Crab Larvae of Portunus sanguinolentus (Herbst)
- Environmental Science
- 2010
Tolerance of the larvae of P. sanguinolentus to salinity str ess was studied in the labor atory at different water salinities ranging from 15 to 40‰ and comparatively the larvae in 35‰ salinity showed high development and survival rate and hence the 35‷ salinity was found to be the optimum salinity.
Influence of salinity on larval development of the mangrove crab Sesarma hrockii de Man
- Biology
- 2000
The influence of salinity on the larval development of the mangrove crab Sesarma brockii was studied in 8 different salinities from 5 to 40 ppt with 5 ppt increment and complete morality was recorded within 24 hours at the maximum.
Survival, growth and physiology of marine bivalve (Sinonovacula constricta) in long-term low-salt culture
- BiologyScientific Reports
- 2019
Most of the J SCs died due to LS but the survival of some JSCs suggests the possibility of breeding LS resistant or freshwater S. constricta.
Effects of salinity o n the larval development of the semiterrestrial sesarmid mangrove crab
- Environmental Science
