Yoga intervention and functional pain syndromes: a selective review
TLDR
Four meta-analyses on the selected topic both indicating modest efficacy and benefit of yoga in these disorders were found, and future efforts should be directed to do a large meta-analysis of functional pain syndromes.
Effectiveness of autogenic training on headache: A systematic review.
TLDR
The small number of studies retrieved did not facilitate rigorous evaluation of the effectiveness of specific AT approaches nor of the optimum length of AT practice for reduction of headache, and more research is needed on the effective of AT-only for headache, the most effective duration of autogenic training and practice, and the type of headache for which it is most effective.
Relaxation techniques as an intervention for chronic pain: A systematic review of randomized controlled trials
TLDR
Most of the studies reported that relaxation techniques reduced pain and/or secondary outcome measures and there is a large degree of heterogeneity among the included studies, which complicates the effect evaluation and makes it difficult to draw a clear and unambiguous conclusion.
