Anxiety , stress and mental strain are most commonly experienced by medical students due to academic burden .Excessive stress affects their mental health causing detoriation of their cognitive functions . Pranayama is a form of exercise which shifts the autonomic system towards parasympathetic side and helps to reduce stress.The present study was conducted on 67 healthy medical students(30 males and 37 females).
