It is found that the differential cross section of photon-photon scattering is a function of the degree of polarization entanglement of the two-photon state. A reduced, general expression for the differential cross section of photon-photon scattering is derived by applying simple symmetry arguments. An explicit expression is obtained for the example of photon-photon scattering due to virtual electron-positron pairs in Quantum Electrodynamics. It is shown how the effect in this explicit example…

Relativistic effect of entanglement in fermion-fermion scattering

We study the properties of entanglement entropy among scattering particles as observed from different inertial moving frames, based on an exemplary QED process $e^+e^-\rightarrow\mu^+\mu^-$. By the

Momentum correlations of scattered particles in quantum field theory: one-loop entanglement generation

We compute the entanglement entropy variation between initial (separable or entangled in the momenta) and final states $\Delta S_E$ in an elastic scattering of a bipartite system composed by two

Affect of Simulated Atmospheric Turbulence on Three Entangled Photons

The thorough experimental study for the measure of sustainability of the atmospheric turbulence of the entangled photons for two qubit has been analysed by G. Puentes et al. [Phys. Rev. A 75, 032319

Single particle entanglement of a massive relativistic particle: Dirac bispinors and spin 1/2 states

In this paper we study the single particle entanglement induced by a Lorentz boost. We described the particle as a solution of the free Dirac equation, a Dirac bispinor, and compare the induced

Entanglement entropy and monotones in scattering process

In this paper, we study the entanglement property of a four-particle system. In this system, two initially entangled electrons A and C are scattered by two uncorrelated positrons B and D,

A Study of the Entanglement's Entropy Variation in Elastic Scattering Processes for a 4 Complex Model

This thesis aims to evaluate the legitimacy of the role attributed to an elastic scattering procedure as an hypothetical ”Entanglement (creation and enhancement) Machine” (EceM) and analyses the collision diagrammatically, computing up to 1-loop contributions when the ”in-state” is separable.

Global Dirac bispinor entanglement under Lorentz boosts

The effects of Lorentz boosts on the quantum entanglement encoded by a pair of massive spin one-half particles are described according to the Lorentz covariant structure described by Dirac bispinors.

Collective behavior of light in vacuum

Under the action of light-by-light scattering, light beams show collective behaviors in vacuum. For instance, in the case of two counterpropagating laser beams with specific initial helicity, the

Effects of Lorentz boosts on Dirac bispinor entanglement

In this paper we describe the transformation properties of quantum entanglement encoded in a pair of spin 1/2 particles described via Dirac bispinors. Due to the intrinsic parity-spin internal

The gravitational field of a laser beam beyond the short wavelength approximation

Light carries energy, and therefore, it is the source of a gravitational field. The gravitational field of a beam of light in the short wavelength approximation has been studied by several authors.

Search for stimulated photon-photon scattering in vacuum

Abstract:We have searched for stimulated photon scattering in vacuum at a center of mass photon energy of 0.8 eV. The QED contribution to this process is equivalent to four wave mixing in vacuum. No

A photon–photon quantum gate based on a single atom in an optical resonator

Strong light–matter coupling provided by a single atom in a high-finesse optical resonator is used to realize the Duan–Kimble protocol of a universal controlled phase flip (π phase shift) photon–photon quantum gate, which has the capability of conditional polarization flipping as well as entanglement generation between independent input photons.

Vacuum self-focusing of very intense laser beams

We argue that long-range photon-photon attraction induced by the dipole interaction of two electron-positron loops can lead to "vacuum self-focussing" of very intense laser beams. The focussing angle
