We present direct experimental evidence of the fluence-rate-dependent, radiation-induced variations in intratumor oxygen partial pressure (pO(2)) in HT29 human colon adenocarcinoma xenografts subjected to meta-tetra(hydroxyphenyl)chlorin (mTHPC)-based photodynamic therapy (PDT).
