OBJECTIVES To determine whether the routine use of intraoperative cholangiography can improve survival from complications related to bile duct injuries. DESIGN Population based cohort study. SETTING Prospectively collected data from the Swedish national registry of gallstone surgery and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, GallRiks.
