In this paper, the effect of different reflective surface and unequal transmitter and receiver antenna height on channel characteristics of the hexapolarized multiple input multiple output (HMIMO) system are investigated, by establishing HMIMO communication channel model. In a simplified reflected channel, we select three different reflected surfaces and compute their channel eigenvalues and channel capacity, respectively. Computation results show that the relative dielectric constant of reflected surface is a main factor which impacts the channel capacity of HMIMO system, as the relative dielectric constant becomes big, the channel capacity becomes small. In perfect electric conducting (PEC) ground reflected channel, the different receiver antenna height is studied. It suggests that the channel capacity will increase with the increase of the receiver antenna height.
