Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a devastating, noninfectious complication of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, and the majority of HIV-PAH cases occur in individuals with a history of intravenous drug use (IVDU).
