Nile tilapia (O. niloticus) mean weight of 46.75 ±4 .5 g was exposed for 60 days to four concentrations (0.1, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 mg L -1) of unionized ammonia nitrogen (U IAN). The study was aimed at assessing the effects of ammonia (UIAN) on the growth performances and gill histology of Nile tilapia reared in glass aquaria.
