OBJECTIVE To investigate both prophylactic and therapeutic roles of salmon calcitonin on the articular cartilage of rabbit's knees. METHODS Right knee instability was produced in 30 New Zealand white rabbits by sectioning the cranial cruciate ligament (CCL).
