In order to study the effect of trace boron on the improvement of the pulverization of the sinter containing high silicon, the formation of the beta dicalcium silicate was studied by means of EDXS and EMPA. The result shows that the activity of Mg~(2+) can be increased by boron addition and a lot of Mg~(2+) enters into the crystal lattice of beta dicalcium silicate and partial Ca~(2+) is replaced, and thus monticellite (CaO·MgO·SiO_2) is created; In addition, boron can refine grain, make… CONTINUE READING
