The aim of the present study is to prepare pumpkin seed protein isolate (PSPI) by alkaline extraction and to study the effect of its substitution for casein on body weight, feed efficiency ratio, serum liver function enzymes, serum lipids profile and antioxidant enzymes in carbon tetrachloride (CCl ) intoxicated rats.
