The effect of five antibiotics: carbenicillin, chloramphenicol, cefotaxime, kanamycin and hygromycin on the organogenesis from callus cultures of Coryphantha elphantidens (Lem.) Lem. have been studied. Carbenicillin and cefotaxime stimulated shoot regeneration from callus. All antibiotics under study suppressed rooting of in vitro formed shoots.
