The study was undertaken to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of water extract of Rosmarinus officinalis L. (rosemary ) in St reptozotocin (STZ) induced diabetic rats. The effect of extract on serum cardiac enzy mes in STZ induced diabetic rat models and normal control rats were determined. Extract was ad ministered orally, to STZ-induced diabetic rats, at a dose of 200 mg / kg body weight/day for 21 days. The fasting blood glucose level of diabetic rats was decreased significantly after treat…

EFFECT OF ROSEMARY EXTRACTS ON DIABETIC AND LIVER MALFUNCTIONAL RATS

rosemary and its oil were used to investigate their effects on diabetic and liver malfunctional rats by administrating them with STZ or CCl4 for three weeks. The therapeutic effects of rosemary

EFFECTS OF ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS AND/OR OCIMUM BASILICUM SUPPLEMENTATION ON INDUCED DIABETES IN ADULT MALE ALBINO RATS

Dietary fortification with Rosemary and/or Basil leaves powder at 0.05% separately or 0.025% in combination might be used as promising modulators of blood glucose levels as well as nutritional management tools for the prevention and control of diabetes mellitus.

The Effect of Commiphora Mukul of Hydro Alcoholic Extract on Cardiac Enzymes, Lipid Profile and Blood Glucose in Diabetic Male Rats

It is claimed that the number of people affected by the Paris attacks has increased by more than 50% in the past year alone.

L-Glutamine Supplementation Prevents the Development of Experimental Diabetic Cardiomyopathy in Streptozotocin-Nicotinamide Induced Diabetic Rats

Results from the present investigation demonstrated that L-glutamine has seemed a cardioprotective activity in streptozotocin-nicotinamide induced diabetic rats.

Antidiabetic and anti-hypercholesterolemic effects of flavonoid-rich fractions of Rosmarinus officinalis in streptozotocin-induced diabetes in mice

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antidiabetic and anti-hypercholesterolemic action of flavonoid-rich fractions of Rosmarinus officinalis L. in streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.

Nephroprotective effect of green tea, rosmarinic acid and rosemary on N-diethylnitrosamine initiated and ferric nitrilotriacetate promoted acute renal toxicity in Wistar rats

GTE, RA & RE exerted a protective effect against renal toxicity with GTE showing a more pronounced effect on renal function parameters while RA showed the best antioxidant impact.

Effect of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) on lipid profiles and blood glucose in human diabetic patients (type-2)

Rosemary showed favorable changes in lipid profiles and blood glucose levels in type-2 diabetic patients, and this effect is obviously noticed in diabetic patients.

The Effects of Rosemary ( Rosmarinus officinalis ) Leaves Powder on Glucose Level, Lipid Profile and Lipid Perodoxation

Rosmarinus officinalis appears to improve not only hyperglycemia but also dyslipidemia in a dose dependent manner and decreases lipid peroxidation through increasing antioxidants levels and this will reduce the risk of chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease.

It is concluded that an ethanolic extract of S oleoides is effective in controlling blood glucose levels and improves lipid profile in euglycemic as well as diabetic rats.

Therapeutic effect of ferulic acid, an ethereal fraction of ethanolic extract of seed of Syzygium cumini against streptozotocin-induced diabetes in male rat.

Diabetic therapeutic and antioxidative effects of an ethereal fraction of the ethanolic extract of the seed of Syzygium cumini was studied in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats, and ferulic acid (FA) was used for the therapeutic effect against diabetes.
