High-performance PTC current-limiting devices for SPC telephone exchanger could be acquired by doping proper liquid-phase donor and adding high calcium content. PTC materials, of which room temperature resistivity 140 ?·cm, Curie point 74℃, resistance-temperature coefficient 13.9%℃–1, lg(ρmax/ρmin)7.2, Vb≥260 V/ mm, have been obtained with the addition of 0.35 mol% Y(NO3)3 and 15 mol% CaCO3.
