  • Summary Cholesterol fed rabbits were given 50 mg/day of Anna Pavala Sindhooram (APS) orally for 6 months and the metabolism of plasma lipoproteins was studied. The changes in the activity of post-heparin lipases (lipoprotein lipase, hepatic lipase) cholesterol ester synthetase (CES) and hydrolase (CEH) were followed by assaying their activities during cholesterol feeding and APS therapy.
