Iligrum pel tracte digestiu del Busqueret de cap negre (Sylvia melanocephala) i de la Merlera (Turdus merula) sobre la seva germinacio. Les dades obtingudes indiquen que el percentatge i la taxa de germinacio de les llavors de S. luteum augmenta si aquestes son ingerides per qualsevol d 'aquestes dues especies d'ocell; en canvi, l'efecte no sembla ser significatiu en S. nigrum.
