Use of natural wool fiber supports in the fabrication of novel composite materials incorporating metal nanoparticles, which offer the possibility of “environmentally friendly” catalytic materials, has been investigated. The catalytic hydrogenation of cyclohexene to cyclohexane by palladium nanoparticles immobilized on wool (Pd/wool) was studied using moderate pressure of pure hydrogen gas. The performance of wool-supported catalysts was explored over a palladium nanoparticle loading ranging…

Rhodium Nanoparticles Incorporated Mesoporous Silica as an Active Catalyst for Cyclohexene Hydrogenation under Ambient Conditions
Rhodium (Rh) nanoparticles were embedded in the mesopores of TUD-1 siliceous material and denoted as Rh-TUD-1. Five samples of Rh-TUD-1 were prepared with different loadings of Rh that ranged from

Nanoparticles as recyclable catalysts: the frontier between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis.
The Review presents the recent developments and the use of NP catalysis in organic synthesis, for example, in hydrogenation and C--C coupling reactions, and the heterogeneous oxidation of CO on gold NPs.
Palladium(0) Nanoparticles on Glass‐Polymer Composite Materials as Recyclable Catalysts: A Comparison Study on their Use in Batch and Continuous Flow Processes
Palladium particles were generated by reduction of palladate anions bound to an ion exchange resin inside microreactors. The size and distribution of the palladium particles differed substantially
Sonochemical preparation and properties of nanostructured palladium metallic clusters
Nanoscale particles of palladium metallic clusters have been prepared at room temperature by sonochemical reduction of a 1:2 molar mixture of palladium acetate, Pd(O2CCH3)2 , and

The term "PdNP catalysis of C-C coupling" used in this review refers to this function of PdNPs as precursors of catalytically active Pd species (i.e., the PdnPs are precatalysts of C -C coupling reactions).
Preparation of Palladium Nano-Particles by Electrospinning and its Application in Hydrogenations
a novel fibrous catalyst containing palladium nano-particles was produced via electrospinning technique. The fibrous catalyst was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and transmission
