Eclipse defines a heterogeneous multiprocessor architecture template for data-dependent stream processing. Intended as a scalable and flexible subsystem of forthcoming media-processing systems-on-a-chip, Eclipse combines application configuration flexibility with the efficiency of function-specific hardware, or ‘coprocessors’.
