Algebraische Ableitungsschätzung im Kontext der Rekonstruierbarkeit (Algebraic Time-derivative Estimation in the Context of Reconstructibility)

It is shown that the algebraic method may be obtained as a special case of state reconstruction using reconstructibility Gramians, and links to further estimation methods, as least-squares estimation and Kalman-filtering, are linked.

Integrated system development process for high-precision motion control systems

The presented modular controller structure defines a set of advanced control algorithms able minimize the tracking error, even for friction affected kinematics, to address the challenge of tailoring an application-specific modular embedded processing platform already on the modelling level before interfacing state-of-the-art tool chains.

Derivation of a New Method for Derivative Estimation by Linear Combinations

—This paper introduces a new method to estimate derivatives of a noiseless time-domain signal, the so called Derivative Estimation by Linear Combinations method. This method can be considered as a

Model-driven development and multiprocessor implementation of a dynamic control algorithm for nanopositioning and nanomeasuring machines

The model-oriented development approach studied here aims to narrow the gap between the control system design environment MATLAB/Simulink® and the actual distributed implementation on the custom platform by introducing a custom code generation target intending the utilization of automatic code generation facilities.

Fault detection for a hydrostatic drive chain using online parameter estimation

This contribution proposes a least square algorithm with exponential forgetting capable of detecting faults online and results of thorough simulation studies emphasize the performance of the algorithm.

A Novel Framework for a Systematic Integration of Pneumatic-Muscle-Actuator-Driven Joints into Robotic Systems Via a Torque Control Interface

In this paper, two different torque control approaches for PMA-driven (PMA = Pneumatic muscle actuator) revolute joints are presented and tested. In previous work controllers for PMA-driven robots

Central Differential Control of an Active Four Wheel Drive Vehicle

Four Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles are almost as old as the automobile itself, however for more than half a century the main use case of a 4WD system was to improve traction on off-road terrains. The

On non-asymptotic observation of nonlinear systems

In this contribution, we use the so-called algebraic derivative method for a non-asymptotic state observation of nonlinear SISO systems. We derive a general formula of a time-varying filter that

Analyse et représentation de signaux transitoires : application à la compression, au débruitage et à la détection de ruptures

Noise removal, detection of abrupt changes and compression are studied via an unusual approach of signal analysis and representation. Differential algebra, noncommutative algebra and operational

A global exponential observer based on numerical differentiation

The extended Kalman filter is known to have excellent filtering characteristics, but its convergence is guaranteed only if it is initialized close enough to the true state value. Numerical

Robust algebraic state estimation of chaotic systems

We propose an improvement of a recently introduced algebraic approach for the non-asymptotic state and parameter estimation of nonlinear systems. In particular, we increase the robustness of the

Synthesis of nonlinear observers via structural analysis and numerical differentiation

Any observable, autonomous system admitting an equilibrium point can be expressed as a state-affine system parameterized by the output and its derivatives, and a class of (single-output) systems is identified that admit parameterizations with fewer than n - 1 derivatives.

An algebraic framework for linear identification

A closed loop parametrical identification procedure for continuous-time constant linear systems is introduced. This approach which exhibits good robustness properties with respect to a large variety
