Abstract. The neotype of Ecdyonurus nigrescens (Klapálek, 1908) has been designated, basing on male imago reared from larva, collected in the Chornohora Range (the Ukrainian Carpathians). The male imago of this species is redescribed; male subimago, female imago and subimago, larvae and the structure of egg chorion are described and illustrated for the first time. Critical diagnostic characters distinguishing this species from other representatives of the Ecdyonurus helveticus species-group are…
The life cycle of the Maghrebian endemic Ecdyonurus rothschildi Navás, 1929 (Ephemeroptera: Heptageniidae) and its potential importance for environmental monitoring
TLDR
It is argued that monitoring of E. rothschildi could prove useful for assessing the rapid changes affecting North African hydrosystems, which are in need of adequate management.
NEW RECORDS OF SOME RARE MAYFLIES (INSECTA, EPHEMEROPTERA) FROM UKRAINE
TLDR
Palingenia fuliginosa and Isonychia ignota are reliably recorded in Ukraine for the first time and Baetopus ( Raptobaetopus ) tenellus (Albarda, 1878) is given for Ukraine forThe first time.

TLDR
A review of the old mayflies collection of the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals, Polish Academy of Sciences, Krakow is presented and description of paralectotype of Rhitrogena gorganica KLAPALEK, 1907 from Krakó is given.
Adhesiveness of the eggs of Ecdyonurus venosus to siliceous and calcareous substrate
TLDR
Transmission electron microscopy observations gave evidence that the synthesis of KCTs occurs in the ovarioles enveloped by the follicle cells, which are presumably involved in this process, suggesting that the mineral components, whose texture affects the smoothness of the surface to which the terminal knob adheres, promote a firmer egg anchorage.
