PURPOSE OF REVIEW This article will evaluate the rationale and feasibility of detecting psychosis and schizophrenia earlier than is currently the case. RECENT FINDINGS Schizophrenia incidence may vary more than has been believed previously. Early detection studies fall into two groups.
