The electrical fluctuations in an argon-potassium nonequilibrium plasma have been studied over a wide range of Hall parameter and electron-to-gas temperature ratios. For electron densities above 2 X 10 cm", the fluctuations increase greatly in intensity as the Hall parameter exceeds a critical value. The variation of the critical value with electron temperature is in accord with the electrothermal wave stability theory.
