Geography

We characterized the vegetation structure and the floristic composition of the semi evergreen tropical forest in the locality of Bethania, Campeche, Mexico. We marked ten 10 m x 10 m (1 000 m2) plots, where all individuals with a diameter at breast height (DBH) of ≥ 2 cm were measured. The structural analysis of the vegetation is based on the species importance values (IV). We found 490 woody individuals belonging to 34 species, grouped into 33 genera and 23 families.
