Tracks in mica, resulting from recoil nuclei produced in spallation reactions of 3.0-Bev protons, were observed using an electron microscope. Decay events may be observed on a shorter time scale, and observation of fossil'' cosmic-ray events may become possible. A chemical etching treatment providing a demonstration of localized radiatton-induced corrosion was used. (L.N.N.)
