Enjoyment, boredom, and interest are important for students‘ learning. To clarify the interplay between these affective variables, data from an interventional study of 119 ninth graders were analysed. Interest was assessed before and after, and emotions (enjoyment and boredom) were assessed during the five-lesson teaching unit.
