A 57-year-old laborer was admitted to tile Washington University Neuromedical Service on Dec. ~0, 1961. t For many years he experienced intermittent frontal headaches which were attributed to sinusitis. Approximately ~ weeks before admission headache of a different quality developed, the pain being more generalized and constant in nature. On the day of admission he became drowsy, slept a great deal, and talked incoherently. Examination. Significant physical findings were lethargy, confusion…
Iatrogenic intradiploic meningoencephalocele. Case report.
TLDR
The authors present the case of a 6-year-old girl who developed a right frontal intradiploic meningoencephalocele following an accidental dural tear produced during surgery for craniosynostosis, which presented with headache and a frontal tumor of bonelike consistency.
Retroperitoneal ectopic neural mass: “abdominal brain”– presentation of two cases and proposal of classification of paraneuraxial neural ectopia
TLDR
Despite the different locations of the masses (head/paracranial or retroperitoneum/paraspinal), these ectopic brain masses should belong to the same disorder spectrum of the paraneuraxial neural ectopia, a new concept.
Case records of the Massachusetts General Hospital. Weekly clinicopathological exercises. Case 42-1984. A 29-year-old woman with a lytic lesion of a parietal bone.
TLDR
A 29-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of a lytic skull lesion, where x-ray films of the skull showed an area of scalloped radiolucency in the left posterior parietal region; no evidence of fracture or unusual calcification was seen.
Ectopic neural tissue as an unusual cause of a retroperitoneal tumor
In a 3-year-old boy an abdominal mass was palpated by chance, which consisted of cystic and solid structures and was shown on ultrasound scan and computed tomography to be located retroperitoneally.
Cerebral heterotopia of the temporofacial region. Case report.
TLDR
A case of cerebral heterotopia in the right temporofacial region of a neonate presenting as a massive cystic swelling containing cerebrospinal fluid and histological examination revealed glial tissue and choroid plexus.
Intradiploic neural heterotopia. A rare calvarial defect.
Two proved cases of intradiploic neural heterotopia of the skull, a rare cause of calvarial defects, are presented. The literature is reviewed. Common radiographic characteristics include an

TLDR
Two neonates are presented who had glial heterotopias of the nose, one with and the other without intracranial connections, and the distinction between them may not be clear clinically because of their similar pathogenesis.
Glial heterotopias of the nose

Two neonates are presented who had glial heterotopias of the nose, one with and the other without intracranial connections, and the distinction between them may not be clear clinically because of their similar pathogenesis.
Normal Variations of the Skull and Its Contents
This chapter will cover several normal anatomic findings and variations of normal cranial computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which occasionally are misdiagnosed as

Heterotopic brain tissue as an isolated embryonic rest.
TLDR
The case is of interest with respect to differential diagnosis and management, and it is pertinent to some currently unsolved problems in the fields of embryology and neuropathology.
NASAL GLIOMA: Two Cases with Recurrence
TLDR
There is little evidence to indicate whether they have the properties of growth characteristic of a benign neoplasm or whether they are simply malformations, but the purpose of this paper is to report two cases of such lesions.
NASAL GLIOMAS: A REPORT OF FIVE CASES WITH ELECTRON MICROSCOPY OF ONE.
TLDR
This review reviews some of the cases, a desc r ip t ion of the pa tho log ica l specimens, inc luding elect r on mic ro scopy of 1 case, and the conclusions.
