Urpod wetland, situated to the south of the Brahmaputra river of Goalpara District, Assam comes under the Asian wetland directory. The present findings reported a total of 60 fish species belonging to 21 family from the wetland. Many riverine species have amalgamated in this wetland due to connection with the Jhinari and Jhimjiram river.
