We construct a simple local model of dynamical supersymmetry breaking. The model is a one-generation SU(5) that arises from a IIB Z{sub N} orientifold. It does not admit a runaway direction and is argued to stabilize the blowup mode related to the corresponding U(1) factor. The theory demonstrates the existence of a new class of ''blowup'' fractional branes.

Meta-stable A n quiver gauge theories

We study metastable dynamical breaking of supersymmetry in An quiver gauge theories. We present a general analysis and criteria for the perturbative existence of metastable vacua in quivers of any

Stabilizing the Runaway Quiver in Supergravity

We study stabilizations of the supersymmetry breaking runaway quiver in string embeddings. Calculations are performed in four dimensional effective supergravity. Constraints on closed string fields

Meta-Stable Vacua and D-Branes at the Conifold

We study gauge theories arising on D‐branes on quotients of the conifold. They exhibit meta‐stable SUSY breaking along the lines of the model by Intriligator, Seiberg and Shih. We propose a candidate

Supersymmetry breaking metastable vacua in runaway quiver gauge theories

In this paper we consider quiver gauge theories with fractional branes whose infrared dynamics removes the classical supersymmetric vacua (DSB branes). We show that addition of flavors to these

Meta-stable brane configuration of product gauge groups

Starting from the gauge theory with fundamental and bifundamental flavors, we apply the Seiberg dual to the first gauge group and obtain the dual gauge theory with dual matters including the gauge

Dimers and orientifolds

We introduce new techniques based on brane tilings to investigate D3-branes probing orientifolds of toric Calabi-Yau singularities. With these new tools, one can write down many orientifold models

META-STABLE BRANE CONFIGURATIONS OF MULTIPLE PRODUCT GAUGE GROUPS WITH ORIENTIFOLD 6 PLANE

Starting from an supersymmetric electric gauge theory with the gauge group with fundamentals for each gauge group, the bifundamentals, a symmetric flavor and a conjugate symmetric flavor for SU(Nc),

Meta-stable brane configurations by adding an orientifold-plane to Giveon-Kutasov

In hep-th/0703135, Giveon and Kutasov have found the type IIA intersecting brane configuration where there exist three NS5-branes, D4-branes and anti-D4-branes. By analyzing the gravitational
