BACKGROUND MicroRNA-186 (miR-186) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of several cancers. Our study was intended to investigate the expression status and the prognostic implication of miR-186 in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). METHODS Real-time quantitative PCR was carried out in 112 de novo AML patients and 28 controls.
